An All Sondheim Commemorative Performance

Traditional Style Coffeehouse
Our Coffeehouses are small performances via Zoom, that are hosted and facilitated by an NM Productions teacher. You are encouraged to "set the stage" and costume yourself appropriately. Have fun and get creative!
The mission of our Coffeehouse program is to create opportunity, community, collaboration and connection for artists.
Specific preparation guidelines will be shared via email and overseen by your teacher.

Audience: Performers may share their link with up to 7 friends and family. We've had audience members join us from as far away as Hawaii, England and Germany!

Requirements: Registration, Preparation and Memorization. How to register will be shared via email.
Traditional Coffee Houses
Styles or themes may include musical theatre, contemporary music and jazz.
The Soiree
Styles may include classical and traditional musical theatre.
Any singers who would like to create a collaboration using your audio/video apps of choice can submit a request to collaborate. We will help you connect with a like minded artists, support you in your project development and upload your creation to our virtual stage on YouTube.
There are many apps to choose from. Some good free options: Audacity, Garageband, iMovie, MovieMaker and the A Cappella App.
Caveat: We are unclear if the a cappella app works well for android although it is available, and if using that app, you must subscribe to the pro version for at least one month and collaborate with others whose platform matches your own.
Scenes & Beans
Scenes & Beans is a broad spectrum performance opportunity which may feature scenes from plays, musicals, & monologues. It is open to any NM Productions student. Performers who are members of the acting studios will prepare material in lessons. Students whoare not current acting studio members are required to take a series of acting sessions to choose and/or prepare material. As Stephen Sondheim said, singing gets you to call backs, but acting gets you cast.
